Boy Playing on Pumpkin

If an attitude of gratitude contributes to personal longevity, wouldn’t it apply to the life of a business?

Consider the work of Charles D. Kerns, PhD in Gratitude at Work. He believes, “Counting your blessings will benefit yourself and your organization.” His research indicates there are three proven tools to enhance gratitude:

  1. Reflect on Three Good Things
  2. Want What You Have
  3. Communicate Gratitude

Do you routinely practice any of these things personally or professionally? Have you instituted “systems” to incorporate an environment of gratitude in your business?

One option might be to develop a Referral Recognition Program that helps automate the communication of gratitude.

1st Anniversary Reflection

One year ago today, I sat in front of my laptop wondering if starting a business was the right move… Would ClarityBV become a viable business or was it just a wild dream?

Thanks to my friend Jason at Escofab, I did not have to worry long. Unknown to him, he had chosen the very first morning ClarityBV was open for business to give me a call asking about valuation services.

Fame and fortune quickly followed! (Okay, so that may be a stretch.) But, it has been a great first year of business. It is amazing how many “updrafts” you find when you take a reasonable leap.

Thank you to my family, Josh Sauerwein, clients, referrers, and others for all your support and encouragement. Starting a business can be a tough slog, but you’ve made it a lot of fun along the way.
